Tell ALL Tuesdays:: Miss A from Mostly Mod

Hurrah...another Tell All Tuesdays...not sure about you...but I love taking a small peak into our fabulous readers and their creative busy lives...
They have all been great with me and responded SO positively to letting go of their daily ongoings...so that all of you(and me) can enjoy their stories.(Thank you!)
So...without further adieu...let us introduce you to the FABULOUS
Miss A, from one of my fave blogs...Mostly Mod... make sure to go over there and say hello.

Introducing:: Miss Amy

Tell us a little about the Town you live in... & have you always lived there?

Well...I am kind of private when it comes to talking about where I live so I am going to skip this question if that is okay :) have to protect my little ones. XO

If you could move anywhere tomorrow, where would it be?

I would move into the rolling hills of Texas. I am madly in love with The Hill Country...the colors, the air, the blanco river, the cactus, the jalapenos, the heat. It is the kind of place that makes you feel alive. Any chance we get to take a little vacation and have some family time we go into the Hill Country. I love Wimberley. I would move there. Still think about it every day.

How structured is your day usually?

During the summer...not so much. More during the year. During the summer it is really as much about my kids as possible. They are only young once. I am learning how to turn off work and play more. This summer has been really good for me...and my kids. It will be hard to go back to more structure. But I do liek structure and tend to be extremely productive with structure. At the end of August I will all be getting up at 5:30am to get lunches packed, breakfast made, and three kids ready for school.

What did you do today?

We slept in today...summer schedule! The older kids made breakfast (no stove), woke me up to turn the stove on and finished their egg concoction. They feel very grown up making meals together. I love it! Chefs in the making. The kiddos and I went to our local library and picked out 15 new books for the week, did a lot of reading, played football in the yard, went to the splash park for a 1st grade get together, came back home, I cooked a meal and we had friends over for dinner and the kids played soccer outside, rode scooters and played tag until it was way too dark. I cleaned the kitchen and they just fell asleep! My husband went to go hear a friend play music at a local coffee shop tonight and I am home doing lots of loads of laundry.

Are you a cat or dog person?

way dog.

Are you a breakfast, lunch or dinner girl?

oh all. I love food! But I think you already have figured that out by now(smile).

If you had 6 friends over for Dinner what would you make for them?

I took a Greek cooking class last night and I would make everything I just learned! Moussaka, Houmos, gluten free pita bread, Greek Village Salad,Souvlaki with Tzatziki sauce, Salsa rosa and GREEK white wine!

How old were you when you knew you were on the right path in your Life?

That is an interesting question. I would say late 30s. I will be 38 in a few weeks and feel that spiritually it has really just been a few years that I can honestly say I am sure I am on the right path now. I feel like I am in a great place now and feel confidant and strong and not at all self conscious or insecure like i was in my 20s and even early 30s.

Who /what drove & inspired your love to create?

I was raised all over but for a good portion of my childhood grew up in Buenos Aires, Argentina and I think it started there. I was inspired at a young age by all the bright vibrant colors and by the culture and I would have to say the poverty around me while traveling in Peru and Ecuador really stuck with me visually and kind of molded my character young.

Tell us something not too many people know about you.

I used to teach rock climbing in graduate school.

Shoe choice::flats or heels?

not heels. not flats. converse! Or better yet an old pair of cowboy boots(!)

What was the last book you read?

Julie and Julia. I am reading A Homemade Life right now.

What advice would you give others just starting out?

Just create. Don't let anyone get in your way and who cares what anyone thinks about your work. It is you and nobody can tell you how to feel. So just find time to create. Make "me time" and just create even if you don't feel like it. Don't give up! Never ever give up! The only way to be successful is to give it your all and never turn back. XO

Name 5 blogs you love visiting, and tell us why.

Oh really? There are way too many. I try to get through as many as I can if I have time. It has been a pretty wild summer. I have not been doing as much blog reading as I would like to be doing. When the kids go back to school I will have more time for that. I feel guilty if they want to play with me and I am at the computer. I try to balance it all so that I blog read at night after they are in bed. Sometimes I read blogs while I am sitting at gymnastics or ballet waiting for My kids---but dislike commenting on my iPhone...so do more reading then commenting.

Thanks Miss A, I know there are many readers who know you already...but for those of you who don't...aren't these shots awesome!
Go say hello to

Have a wonderful day...
