The camera never lies...

does it ever lie for you?
I've heard the *Camera never lies*...and in this instance, I was taking some pictures of the girls for a study for a future portrait painting...and of course they couldn't just lay there and pose without making faces...
Well, the last 2 shots I got of them...were SO the whole truth...it's uncanny how great this image is...personalities rounded up with ONE click of the camera...I LOVE photography and how an image can tell a thousand stories...paintings can do this too...which is why I love portraiture in both mediums...but, my girls would not sit for 3 hours.
Look at the calmness of little miss A and the CRAZINESS(she'll hate me for this later) of little miss J!
I love our beautiful girls...such characters...SO different...so precious.

Did your World show you any truths today?

Char,On

P.S. we'll be continuing with our Tell All Tuesdays after our Mamas and Chicks Show in November...I've just got WAY too much on!

  1. I so love this picture, you are so right about it showing your girls personalities, Little Miss A just looks so all-seeing and calm, just so used to her wonderful Mummy taking pictures, and Little Miss J looks so minxy...they are so beautiful!
Thanks for your comment on my post honey... but I've only done a couple and you my friend have done hundreds, the real kudos goes right back to you! xxxx

  2. Thanks Tam...it's lovely to know you're just on the other side though and this is something we're in together...which keeps it real.

  5. What cuties are they twins, thoug the little serious girl does look a tad older? My twins did the same always on serious or trying to be and the other just going for it. Still do at 20 it'll never end. Haha

  8. Thank you all for your very kind and sweet comments...they're 2 years difference in age...but Little Miss J just thinks she's as old as miss A.
    Have a lovely evening...

  10. they are so cute and yes you certainly can tell that they look at the world differently.

the truth the world showed me today was that i don't have to be strong all the time. it is okay to break down and cry when i'm sad. after weeks of fighting off the need to constantly grieve for the loss of my dog presley i just gave in today and had a big cry. it was exactly what i needed.

  12. just found your blog this morning :) love it! the question "did your world show you any truths today" really struck me right now.....

last night I found out that a guy whom I have slowly fallen in love with does not share the same feelings towards me....that was a really hard and embarrassing truth to acknowledge... but, better late than never, right? :/
