Last week's ART Campers and chalk drawings...love them!

My ART Campers at the top...what a wonderful group of kids!
I again asked them to sit for 2 minutes whilst I sketched them.
The above chalk drawings are fun as we saw them each day when we went up to the school...
And BELOW is a portrait by our Mr. W who is 7 years old...it's of his sister. He improved so much throughout the week, at the beginning he kept all his drawings very small...so when he turned this one out...I was impressed!

Thank you for stopping by.
Have a great weekend...we're off to visit friends in Ohio this coming week.
I'll try and post from there..but if not...see you on my return.

painting portraits.

Hola everyone...thanks for stopping by today...I know I haven't been around much recently...Art Camp has been keeping me SUPER busy!
I promise to try and post some stories of our Art Camp weeks very soon...I've been surrounded by singers, jokers and great budding artists.
Tomorrow is "ALL ABOUT me Day!

In the mean time...here's a my NIGHT portrait...only because I can only work during the night...so not to run into Camp hours.

Until then...

texture, colour, beauty and subtlety...

I love the transparency of Linen...
and also the depth you can achieve when painting on it is remarkable.
K...sorry it's take SO long...it will be in the mail this weekend :-)  We're supposed to be in the midst of a  postal strike...so we'll see when it arrives...SOON I hope.

HUGS and enjoy your weekend.

getting it.

 Hello sweet readers...
Just getting back into the swing of things...the Show went very well...lots of positive feedback from shoppers and from our vendors. Although our attendance was down about 20% we still had a steady flow of traffic....which is sometimes better than crazy numbers of Mums and their strollers all at once.
This is my table...the painting on the right (the abstract one) is not mine, I'm going to be re-thinking what I bring to my Show in the Fall...no pins...or stamps....or patches...just Tooth Fairy pillows...and my prints. I'm even contemplating not bringing my cards...because people want them for nothing...it's frustrating...they don't realize that they're handmade items too! If you go to Hallmark...can you find a handmade card for $2.50? Didn't think so!

So, that was the Show...and this is really what the post is about...our girls Lego Factory...

Mum, I promised I would send you some photos...they really "get it" now when it comes to building a structure...and they worked on this together without fighting...always a bonus!

I hope you're all well...
I know I haven't been to see you in your Blog Worlds recently...but this week I will.

WHAT are you up to this week?

I have a commission to start very similar to this one.
I'd LOVE to get this started.
I have to plan my weekly courses for this.

Tomorrow we're off to see this, which will hopefully lead to an abundance of future work.
*fingers crossed*

HAPPY Tuesday...it's rainy and damp here...

steps till the end...

So...I've been on the computer most of this day so far...apart from a few hours whilst working on this piece.

It's for this lovely lady over HERE.
she has such adorable kids...these pictures I create of a mother and her "load" first came about whenever I would struggle when our girls were much smaller...and I would think of MY mother with 3...and say to myself "suck it up...if Mum could do it...so can I"...
From those words...many drawings, commissions have been requested...I think it's a great gift to either give yourself to honour your journey as a mother...or to a friend,sister,mother...

4 children...I could only imagine how little I would get done in a day. I really do bow down to all these fabulous Mamas who have more than 2 children...you give up your all.

Lisa has a wonderful Blog called Earth Mama...and she's constantly crafting with her youngans...very inspiring!

Well...it's finished and in the mailbox...
Hope you love it Lisa as much as I loved drawing it. You have a beautiful family.
