Making up MONDAY!

Ok...so this is like an apology for NOT having posted these past few days.
We've had BUSY times...and so...let's begin with..."US"...Mr. R and Moi...we had a St.Pati's day Party/ Space Invadors contest on Friday night...SO much fun! (I love my Man!)

We went to "Purple Woods" the land of Maple Syrup...every year a few farms open their woods up to educate the public on the tradition of Maple Syrup up here in Canada. The teperature has to be perfect for the sap(syrup) to be tapped out of the trees...

We got there early and met up with a few freinds and their kids...it's a beautiful walk down through the woods...the Sun had just risen, the horses were just arriving ready to take us for a little ride.
Aren't they gorgeous...and they were planning on doing a 7 hour day! Apparently 2,000 people walk through this wood each day for the 10 days that it's open...I know, CRAZY and poor horses.

We went to the Zoo...
and saw the Orangatangs...this Mama really is NOT a happy camper.
I really do have mixed feelings about the Zoo.
It's fantastic to be able to see all these animals at such close proximity...but really...they don't live in the best conditions.
I finished a few Watercolours...like this one...
and this one...
and this one...
Oh...and another cat...
They'll all be in my Etsy Shop this week.
Even Little Miss J wanted a go at painting...I love her flying houses and little bird...

So...I hope my apology has been accepted...and I've been forgiven.
As you can see...we've been BUSY.

Tomorrow I have 2 Tell ALL Tuesdays.
Remember to check back.

Off to see what you've all been up to...I have some catching up to do.

Bunnies and fairies...

Slowly getting closer to actually painting this on the walls...we'll see...I had been working on it over the past few days and delivered it this afternoon.(hopefully it got there-I dropped off the originals in the client's mailbox-I know...I know...)
Here's the before...
And here's the after with colour...she loves rainbows and fairies, they also have a tabbie-cat.I'll be adding lots more butterflies and fairies flying from one mural to the next.
Here's the door mural, VERY excited about doing this one...I love the sweetness about everything in this one and all the fun the fairies are having in the tree and with the bunny. I hope they love this one too.
I will be using acrylics and hope to keep the colours more like the watercolour sketch I did above of the Bunny and Bird...
The client was going to call this evening, but that's probably not going to happen...so,I will be going for a run with my DH, my father in-law is listening out for the girls(still all quiet on that front-thank goodness!)
Oh...we went to one of the parks I promised the girls today too...another check off the long list of to do's.
Thanks for passing by...sorry I haven't been visiting recently.
I promise to make time tomorrow.
Have a good evening.

A domino effect...

Today both my posts have been a domino effect of others who blog...their posts have lead me to remember what's important NOW and to Thank those around you who deserve thanks and appreciation.
This watercolour is my little Ashley's Teacher's gift. We'll give it to her tomorrow.
I will, when I get around to it post it in my Etsy Shop as I will be selling 25 Limited Edition prints of it as I do with all the others.
I hope she likes it...they have a cat just like this and a daughter who resembles the girl hugging her cat.
It was a hard call to know what to do as a little "Thank you"...but seeing as funds are low...a little thanks from the bottom of our hearts is what she'll receive.
I remember when I was 5, I had the best and most dedicated Elementary Teacher ever. Her name was (she passed away just a couple of years ago) Mrs. May and her school was called "Apple Tree Cottage".We had to walk through her ever so manicured garden to get to a large shed at the very end of the garden. Inside were 2 class rooms and about 17 children ranging from 3-8 years old. I have some wonderful memories from her little School. She was strict, but such a master at engaging her students...
Our Ash has a teacher very similar to her...wonderful...just wonderful. Thank you Mrs.E.
What do you do for the Teachers in your Life?
