Have you changed?

I hope to soon have a studio space where I can paint again.
I love painting big canvases...this was a portrait of our eldest daughter Ashley who was 3 months in the photo I copied it from. The canvas is 5ft x 3ft, and hangs in our living room...I have the identical blank canvas downstairs waiting to be painted(for our youngest daughter).
It's a sacrifice you make when you have a wonderful handy man as a husband who has tonnes of home projects and one of them is reconstructing and renovating our basement. Within the next couple of years I will have a studio, and I'll be sure to keep you up to date on the progress.
Fortunately it has led me to discover another medium(watercolours) which I probably wouldn't have experimented with.
What sacrifices do you make on a daily bases? Or have you changed the medium you work with recently?
It's a wonderful rainy day...loving being inside and crafting today.

I just wandered through an art supply store yesterday looking at rows and rows of paint that I'll likely never have the talent or brains to use properly . . . I love that first painting. That look on his face is soooo endearing.

Oh my girdle! This painting of your daughter is BEAUTIFUL! If my lucky stars can hear me now grant me the talent you have! If you do all of this creation without your studio. We better hold onto our seat for what you can do in your studio! Enjoy! xoxo

Having a dedicated space to paint that is organized in a way that enhances creative thought is VERY important as an artist. I wish you well in your new studio, and can't wait to see what you create!
