I sit at two minutes past midnight with my little boy sleeping next to me on the sofa, finally sleeping soundly, as he's just been sick again... he has been ill for 4 days now and as any Mummy or Daddy knows it's pretty worrying and the broken sleep is a killer, I think I would wake if a pin dropped at the moment. I did think that he was finally over it today as he wasn't sick all day, although he hadn't been able to eat anything since Friday he wanted a boiled egg today for tea, so I thought it was a good sign with seeming so much better all day. Still seven hours later it looks like I was a bit premature in sending him to bed without a bucket beside him tonight! I think he has just picked up the winter sickness bug that travels like wildfire, but so far none of the rest of the house have come down with it. My house smells of Dettol and Milton! He doesn't look much like the muscle rippling spiderman earlier in the week, more like a little stick insect now! It was such a shame for him as he got it the night he had his friend over for his first sleepover. It was quite something to whisk him out of the room at 3am before he threw up without waking his sleeping friend. Then to entertain this little boy in the morning cheerily as I cooked his breakfast whilst poor Jack was suffering upstairs and Little Beth was opening all the cupboards and trying to climb into the dishwasher - her latest fixation! The little friend was wondering what was up with his absent pal, when I explained he'd picked up a little bug he looked at me and said very seriously 'How? Did he find it in the garden? Where is it?!'
Thank goodness for a great washing machine!

Very nice blog. :) Hope your boy gets better soon. My boy has the same spiderman-outfit.
Thank you all for your comments! It was his first time dressing up, apart from at school where he once came home dressed as a princess (Thanks teachers!) - a friend of his had a wardrobe of outfits and this was the first he had tried on, I think he will get into Superhero's very quickly now!
I really like your blog!
Feel better soon, Spiderman
:-)
