This was my lunch...I know...it's simple, but I'm a simple girl. I LOVE.LOVE.LOVE to cook and make things pretty...but I also adore when you can taste the raw product.
Avacado and eggs...one of my all time faves.(as many of you know)
I NEED your help though. This Sunday we're visiting with cousins who have flown over from Sweden.
I am supposed to be bringing a desert.
WHAT to bring/or make?
I can cook...and don't bake much at all...I can follow a recipe, BUT I really need to impress...a little this time. My cousin's husband is a sou-chef...
PLEASE HELP ME...
HAPPY WEEKENDING.

my favorite doesn't even require cooking and it can't be beat for spring/summer. chocolate dipped strawberries.
yum...that sounds perfect!
Thanks Lori!
i like a mix of fruit, add a bit of liqueur like frangelico or grand marnier and some fresh mint. you can serve it plain or over a bit of cake like angel food or sponge cake.
Mmm, Frangelico...perhaps that would be enough on it's own!
Thanks Char
I'd make my Italian cheesecake. Its pretty easy to make and always is big with people. If you need the recipe I can send it to you. Otherwise if you want something less to do then lava cake is always a big one with me.
If your not down to bake.. Go for a appetizer, easy, not so much the CENTER of attention, but everyone goes for that first! I will not be overlooked!
Hello dear!
I would go for chocolate!
(Chocolate truffels are one of my staple-impressors). But cake (with extra dark chocolate to make it nice and heavy... almost like one huge brownie) also does the trick.
The happy feeling chocolate brings about (lots of endorphines) makes them forget about any possible imperfections! That's my trick!
:o)
Good luck!

K...Chocolate sounds great...do you have a REALLY good chocolate cake recipe?
I'll have to do a search!
