to Fell or not to Fell?

GOOD morning everyone...I think Spring is finally here!!!

This weekend we visited and helped out our friends furnish their cottage which is ready now for renting...they had torn down the original cottage and built a new one...6 bedrooms and 4 and a half bathrooms...with views of Lake Muskoka!!!
It's so pretty and the setting is perfect...when you're on the Balcony you feel as though you're in the tree tops looking down...

There were many discussions over the weekend to whether or not the trees JUST infront of the cottage should be felled to give a more open view of the lake...

I say NO to felling...I think you can go down to the water front for a full view...
not only do you get privacy from the trees...but shade too in the Summer scorching heat...there will be some relief at least if you don't fell them.

What do you think?
To Fell or NOT to Fell?

have a good day...

Oh WOW Char!
That is such a beautiful place!!!
I just wish I could live in a place like that... I would keep lots of cats, and dogs... and a goat, named Lisa.
:D

And about the trees... I would say, NOT to fell!

& have a great week!

Definitely NOT to fell! The leaves on these trees create a nice, natural archway to the water behind them...almost like an entrance to the lakefront.

I love having trees around!! No felling!!...But it's not like I'll probably ever get to see it, so make sure you take that into consideration too! LOL

I am on the "no fell" side of the argument too. That first photo is lovely. Reminds me of the visits to a friend's cottage on Lake Muskoka.

Utterly beautiful and serene. Tomorrow, marks the one year anniversary of our daughter's passing and as I gaze at your photos, it reminds me of the peacefulness she felt. Her last words to me were, "I'm Happy." Thank you for sharing and allowing me a memory. XOXO
