LOVE notes...

Today is a day to remember those who passed in the tragic 9-11 and to those families who have grieved and suffered loss.
I can't believe it has been so many years since those memories were first engraved on our brains.
Every day I send a note with a little sketch for our little Miss A in her snack bag. I want her to know that each day I think of her whilst she is enjoying school, and whilst I am not with her.
Some as you can see have been drawn in a mad rush because there have been a few days where we're one foot out the door and I have forgotten her note of Love from us.
I started this since her first day at Junior Kindergarten, Sept 2008.
A whole year has passed and the tradition is still going strong...but now has come the day to organise.
I'm planning on making a special memory book for her with all the notes in...
What would you do with them all?

Oh Char, that is so beautiful!

It reminds me a bit of the box of letters Francesco keeps on his side of the bed... it's a box full of letters and scribbels from me. We've been living long-distance for over two years and I wrote almost every day, made little sketches, icluded little articles I picked up or some dry leafs... gathering stuff and sending it ff oce or twice a week (depending on the bulk...)

Now that he's not home for a week, I've found myself going through the bedside box, and it was a real travel through my memories...

But enough about me, you're a really special person for giving your daughter such a precious gift!
And I'm sure you'll find a brilliant way of making it into an awsome keepsake!

Hearts,
K.

I think a treasure chest would be fun - like put all the ones from a certain year together. did you put a date on them?

How beautiful is that! Little girls always heart those lovely details. I remember when I was little my mom made me a little bag to carry my books. I loved that bag so much that I carried it everywhere.
I think the idea of a memory book is so cute! You can decorate together, like a scrapbook.
You're such an special and loving mom, and love your idea!
Have a lovely weekend!

Oh my gosh, those are so beautiful and such a sweet idea! I might have to borrow that when my little one heads off to school.

Maybe put them all in an album, you could put a few on each page, and some might warrant special notes of why you drew something, etc. That's the only idea I've got right now.

Thanks for visiting my blog, I'm glad you did b/c it brought me over here, sheer beauty!

I can see the treasure chest idea working, with dates on the notes. Maybe in the shape of a mail box? Or a special "Note-book" - like an artists book or journal, with little sayings and quotes or messages, like a scrapbook. Lots of ideas and I'm sure you'll find some creative way to keep these special memories.

It's a fabulous idea, by the way, and very important for children to receive. You're a great mom.

What an adorable idea and they will make a terrific album! I used to pop notes in my daughter's suitcases and books if they were going to be away from home. Thanks so much for your lovely comment on my blog!
