bye bye bols...

hello lovelies...I know I haven't been around for a few days, I have been enjoying my parents whilst they're here in Canada visiting.
My Mum gobbled up all these Cafe Bols and Tea Cups to take back with her to England. So these are a few which I won't be selling on Etsy.

I painted a few new Cafe Bols which I will also be placing in the shop...they're a little larger than the 5x7 watercolours...I think they measure 11x7 inches.
Below you can see one of them framed...

so, after being super productive...it's good to see many of them going to new homes...

This week is the start of another VERY busy crazy week...I am delivering tickets and flyers to our Mamas and Chicks vendors. Our Show is in 3 weeks time...
I'll be making more Gift Cards,Tooth Fairy Pillows, Lavender Pillows and selling my prints at a great discount...

Did you know my Esty Store has a SALE at the moment? EVERYthing is 25% off!

I'll be passing by to say hi to you later...until then have a fabulous Monday.

French coffee bols

hello ... did you know in France they drink Coffee from "Bols" (bowls in French) in the morning for breakfast...many say it's so they can dip their delicious croissants and tartine's in their coffee.
I love going over to France and having a BIG BOL of coffee... so... here are MY French Coffee Bols...all original watercolour paintings to accompany my T-cups HERE and HERE.

Have a lovely day!

just going with it.

Hello everyone...and a very lovely Thursday it is....beautiful blue skies...great for a Cross Country race...which Miss A will be participating in this afternoon. And neither I nor her daddy can watch unfortunately...BUT I am and will be thinking of her speedy legs...and hoping that she doesn't give up half way. I was never good at Cross Country but I do think she has her daddy's power legs...so we'll see.

T-CUPS...what do you think? I think this will be a new theme for my Mamas and Chicks Fall Show this year. I am going to be selling the originals in my Etsy Shop as soon as I get a chance to post them...

I have plans on making pillows, posters and embroideries.
Along side selling these originals...they can be used as gift cards or framed in a sweet antique white frame...I must try and find a couple of examples...

In one week's time...my Mama and Papa will be here...flying all the way from the UK. I can't wait to see them...9 months is a long time away from family.

I have a little dog portrait to get started on...and a baptism gift to finish...so busy hands are waiting to get started.

HUGS and have a wonderful Thursday.

one week to go...

my head is spinning...my kids are tired of me always crafting for the Mamas and Chicks Show...I am lacking many hours of sleep...but,we all know this is what happens before a big Show like this...right?
These are my "Surprise pins"...I like to always bring something new to the Show each year. Sorry readers...you'll see them on Saturday the 30th in my Etsy store if there are any left!!!

Can you guess what they are?

I'm pleased with my new stamps...I've never sold stamps from my table...so this is new too for all our Shoppers.
I have 29 in my "series 1" of stamps which I'll take to the Show next Friday...and I know they'll be an on-going project as it really is a very calming and therapeutic craft.

Hope you all have a wonderful Easter Weekend...thanks for stopping by and to all of you who leave a little hello always...thank you!
I'll be back on Tuesday with more finished projects!

CUPPA CHAI anyone?

This was a series which I painted for our Fall Mamas and Chicks Show last year...I think I want to paint some tea cups and saucers this week. I ended up popping in to our Art Store the other day and buying a couple of small canvases(6x6)...
I like the irregularity of them...the imperfections don't bother me...
I'll keep you up to date when I start on this project...you know that!

See you tomorrow for Wordless Wednesday.

As many of you already know...I LOVE Tea, and am a huge Earl Grey fan...
well...late afternoon (yesterday)around 5pm, my Mr.R texts me and says..."I have a surprise for you!"
Hmmm, his surprises are either he's picked up a new gadget from Lee Valley, he's been to the nearest Computer Store, or he's picked up an Art Magazine... BUT no...he went to DAVIDs TEA store in Toronto and was WOW'd by this Tea...he's NEVER WOW'd by any food usually...and isn't a Tea drinker!!!
OMG...you should smell this...it's flavour is me ALL over...(which clarify's the fact Mr.R and I are a match made in Heaven-I do love him dearly-can you tell?) ...you open the Tin and a warmth like a breeze on a Summer's night hits you...along with a sweet nuttiness...surrounded by coconut and pineapple.Divine...
WHOLE walnuts...broken in half...coconut and pineapple pieces, almonds and green tea...just to make it a little more perfect!
The gift bag was filled with a Bodum Tea Egg stainer...and 100grams of Toasted Walnut delight.YUM!!!
Do you live near or in Toronto,Montreal, Quebec,Vancouver or London(Ontario)???
GO and find your nearest DAVIDsTEA bar please...OR check out thier online store...HERE.YOU will be WOW'd

DO you have a FRIDAY FIND?

Link it in the comments below so everyone can take a peak....I'd love to spend a few hours browsing your new "WOW's" and "OMG's"

tea and biscuits

She doesn't really look exactly like these...but has some similarities, and I should really wear my glasses whilst sketching because things always slant to the right a little and have been noticing it more and more recently!(getting old)
I just finished the above sketch whilst we were having our Tea and Biscuits before her nap time...her Tea consists of a dipping of the Tea bag in warm milk...she just likes to dip her biscuits in her Tea like her Morfar(my dad).
The one below was sketched quickly before we went raspberry picking this morning. She kept moving around so much...but I captured somewhat of her and her concentration whilst she practiced writing her ABC's.
I find sketching on a whim something which I used to do a lot more of before I had to chase after our girls...and now that they're more independant...I would love to start again...I have been trying to remember to bring sketching materials with me wherever I go...and would love to make a day to day journal...with sketches amongst appointments.
CHECK THIS OUT!!!!
Gustavo Aimar is celebrating 3 years of Blogging(he's a FANTASTIC illustrator)...and is celebrating by posting little 3x3inch creations on THIS site, which ANYONE can participate in.
Such a great way to celebrate...spead the word and create something 3x3 for him to post.
All he needs you to do...if you don't understand Spanish: send him and email to aimargus@gmail.com with a Jpeg of your painting,drawing,illustration...but it has to be drawn in a 3x3inch format...not just cropped to size. Your link and name and what media you used.
So much fun...make it your weekend project!

I am off to do something little now...and I'll post it for you later.

ON ANOTHER NOTE::
We reached 500 FABULOUS READERS.... YAY!!!
You guys are awesome.
Check back sometime this weekend to enter our *WIN WIN WIN* giveaway!
You all deserve to win...but only one will.(sorry)

Have a wonderful weekend...and get creating!

painted...

in greys with a blue under tone...
I like it, I'm used to leaving my doodle sketched just as they develop and I really enjoyed having everyone's input on this one.
I really like the cropped image above, I think the compositiong works better.

Here's the finished product.
P.S. REMEMBER to head over to Charlane at Ramblins... to see my inspiration for this piece.

Hope you've had a good evening, you're most likely in bed right now.

I'm going to rest my eyes too.
Ciao for now.
