Flying high.

Hello dearest readers...lots of things have been going on in this past week...finishing off the Studio...running an adventure race...spraining my ankle(pretty badly) which has put me out of service for a few days?weeks? who knows? But with Art Camp starting next week I am praying that the Arnica kicks in and heals that foot quickly!!!

I wanted to show you what I have been working on...this post I'll be showing a commission I received from a friend who lost a dear friend last year. She was a dancer...and LOVED to make people smile. I sat with my friend the other day and we went over a few pointers, favourite clothes, colours and how her family remembers her...This is a gift to her family from my friend. Such a lovely idea and I am honoured to have been a part of it.

Hummingbirds are beautiful...we do have them here in Canada...but not as many as I've seen in the Caribbean.
Do you have them where you live?

Tomorrow I'll show you the "teacher gifts" I have been working on.
I can't really show you until I give them to the teacher though.(smile)

Hopefully I'll get to visit your Worlds later...just busy planning Camp.
Have a wonderful Tuesday.

Char, this is such an amazing gift. We lost our daughter last year to breast cancer, so I can only imagine how cherished this gift will be to them.

What would we do without friends. XOXO

This is so beautiful - I love the text that frames it. What a wonderful keepsake they will have to cherish. Hummingbirds are found here in TX, theres a sanctuary not too far from where I live. I researched them a bit for an illo I was working on, quite the creatures they are! Here's the link if you're interested:
