The Farmer's Market has begun...

Hello Everyone!
Isn't it wonderful now that Summer is almost here the days are longer and the temperature is so enjoyable that no jackets are needed anymore...
This past couple of weeks I have been painting a trailer to be parked up near where our local Farmers market is held weekly...
I thought I would show you all the process from start to end... Even little miss J helped a couple of times :-)

Happy Easter

Easter has been filled already with food and egg hunts...and spending time with family.
I thought we were seeing friends and family last night too but I was surprised by Mr. R when he took me to a restaurant i had never been to for a surprise birthday dinner!
The company was wonderful! And the food was amazing! I'd definitely go back there!
Today we are sharing our Easter Sunday with friends, lamb and salmon are on the menu... And probably a few instagram photos will be snapped.

Here's a visual on how the process went. I used the app Picstich on my iPhone to create the image... So easy when you have the right tool!
We're in the midst of a snow storm here today!!!!
It's wet and heavy snow... Definitely a snow fort building afternoon!!!!

Farmors Birthday

Can you see the beautiful lady in the top left corner in the old photo on my inspiration board?
That's my Farmor... It was her birthday today... I think of her often, I ask for her help when the girls get sick... I believe she listens...I believe she takes care of us ...
She was the sweetest Farmor (grandma) ever... She would do anything for us... She never said no... If we wanted to go for an ice-cream...she would take us... We went to the park in Hellerup to feed the ducks almost every day... She would jump up and down like a child when we got excited, she had a young outlook to life, she'd always have breakfast ready for us when we came downstairs in the morning...and she always looked well put together, beautiful nails, her hair curled, smart outfits...
I miss her, I know my siblings miss her... And I know today is tough for my parents... Especially my dad.
We were so fortunate to spend Summers with them in Danmark... Great memories which will always be a part of me.

Farmor, you were and still are LOVED!!!

Wordless Wednesday

I know it's not just me...

But is it weird to take so many pictures of food? Seriously?
Here are just a few from these past months...
I love making dinners... And enjoy making it look pretty...
Do you take pictures of food?
To me food has always been a very important part of the day... A time to sit, relax, enjoy each others company and taste what we are given from the earth...
So I suppose it's not so weird after all.

It's Groundhog day today, we'll see if we're in for 6 more weeks of Winter!!!! I'm hoping we get a break from the cold this year.

I'll be starting the snow hill mural next week...I'm looking forward to painting those tranquil ski runs and lots of snow covered evergreens.

Spike and Bunny

I finished Spike the hedgehog and Bunny today...
Tomorrow I will paint the cats and the remainder of the flowers.
