getting it.

 Hello sweet readers...
Just getting back into the swing of things...the Show went very well...lots of positive feedback from shoppers and from our vendors. Although our attendance was down about 20% we still had a steady flow of traffic....which is sometimes better than crazy numbers of Mums and their strollers all at once.
This is my table...the painting on the right (the abstract one) is not mine, I'm going to be re-thinking what I bring to my Show in the Fall...no pins...or stamps....or patches...just Tooth Fairy pillows...and my prints. I'm even contemplating not bringing my cards...because people want them for nothing...it's frustrating...they don't realize that they're handmade items too! If you go to Hallmark...can you find a handmade card for $2.50? Didn't think so!

So, that was the Show...and this is really what the post is about...our girls Lego Factory...

Mum, I promised I would send you some photos...they really "get it" now when it comes to building a structure...and they worked on this together without fighting...always a bonus!

I hope you're all well...
I know I haven't been to see you in your Blog Worlds recently...but this week I will.

WHAT are you up to this week?

I have a commission to start very similar to this one.
I'd LOVE to get this started.
I have to plan my weekly courses for this.

Tomorrow we're off to see this, which will hopefully lead to an abundance of future work.
*fingers crossed*

HAPPY Tuesday...it's rainy and damp here...

I hear you about how our work is valued here. The public is use to low prices coming from "overseas" and what they pay for labor there. It's sad :-(
Your artwork is amazing and I wish I could have been at the show to tell you in person. Love, XOXO

I just love the handmade bird cards I bought last year and people ooh'ed and ahh'ed when I told them they were handmade. Congrats on a successful show! Really wish I could have been there. Make sure you save me some of your handmade goodies!

sorry about the pricing stuff on the cards.

it's so weird what a crowd is willing to pay for and what it is not willing to pay for

Good to hear your show went well! Yes I've had the same experience when it comes to cards and some other stuff, people don't always have the right mindset (hope that is ok english) when it comes to unique & hanmade.

PS.Thank you for your sweet comment on my blog!

YAY!! I'm so glad to hear the show went well for you! And I know all about the public not appreciating how much work goes into our creations...or rather, not wanting to pay for all the work that goes into our creations!! For sure though, you SHOULD get paid!!...I love the girl's building skills too! Woot! Woot!

I have been thinking about you all weekend, wondering how the show went. Glad to hear it went well. The fall show is already on my calender. I would love to see a few photos of your cards. Are you going to show us your pins? On to the Lego: We are definitely a Lego family. The boys play with it ALL THE TIME.

The booth looked great! 20% down, but still awesome. I'm so glad you did well. Interesting that the pins didn't sell well. They are so cute. Glad you had fun!

Great Lego world, girls! :0)
