P is for PIG, Peas, Princess, Prince, Pink, Purple and Patterns...

this could be one of the letters which I'll enjoy most...the colours are pretty and it's all about faiytales.
We've been reading the Real Princess-A Mathemagical Tale by Juliet Stevenson,Brenda Williams and Sophie Fatus...it's has an storytime CD attached to the book which my girls thoroughly enjoyed.
Sophie Fatus has illustrated 10 books for Barefoot books writers...I love her work...I can't for the Life of me find a link to her website or blog to share though...

I know I am behind with my to-do's...but just taking each day as it comes...an artist can't cram in creativity if the feeling ain't there!

R is for RABBIT...and RAIN...

I'm not 100% sure whether this is how the whole series will be...

I quite like the idea of not including huge Type...

FABULOUS FEBRUARY

So...here's my NEW FEB project...I will still be continuing with the Shoes for Haiti...but here's what we'll be upto this month.

The realization of our little Miss J starting School in September is creeping up on us...and I need to involve our girls in some FUN crafts for this month. It will also encourage Miss J in her ABC skills...I don't ever wish for her to feel like she's behind at school...

As a child I never felt very confident with my literature and reading, it didn't help my confidence in class and I always hated public speaking...reading is SO important for little souls to love...so I try to install this love at home.

ABOUT the project:: There are 28 days in February and 26 letters of the alphabet...each morning the girls will pick a letter and an animal to match their letter.

I will paint with watercolours the animal which they chose. The girls will gather other objects for that letter...magazine cut-outs, photos,they can even draw or cut out letters...then we will work on how to write the lower and upper case letter ...we will create a scrapbook each for them which they can add to if they find other objects during the month.

Since the girls were small I have collected these Schleich animals...once the girls became older...they would choose their favourites...we used them as reward gifts when they had been doing really well with their chores at home.

I love all the details they have...they ARE minature animal replicas!

So...here is our FIRST animal:: R is for RABBIT...he's a little shy...

As with the Shoe a day ART I am working on...the Animal ABC's will be listed in my Blueshine Baby Esty store, I will be selling the ORIGINALS in the store and the PRINTS too.

For the month of FEB I am also running a FREE SHIPPING SALE in both my Esty Stores....
