Happy Easter

Easter has been filled already with food and egg hunts...and spending time with family.
I thought we were seeing friends and family last night too but I was surprised by Mr. R when he took me to a restaurant i had never been to for a surprise birthday dinner!
The company was wonderful! And the food was amazing! I'd definitely go back there!
Today we are sharing our Easter Sunday with friends, lamb and salmon are on the menu... And probably a few instagram photos will be snapped.

French coffee bols

hello ... did you know in France they drink Coffee from "Bols" (bowls in French) in the morning for breakfast...many say it's so they can dip their delicious croissants and tartine's in their coffee. 
I love going over to France and having a BIG BOL of coffee... so... here are MY French Coffee Bols...all original watercolour paintings to accompany my T-cups HERE and HERE.

Good morning, it's SUCH a beautiful morning here in Canada and it must have rained during the night as the temperature has dropped outside. I can feel the Autumn approaching...which means we must enjoy these warm days we have left.


The girls requested chocolate croissants this morning...what would be on your order for a delicious breakfast?

weekend past...

hello friends...I thought I'd post some pics from our Sunday trip to Kingston,Ontario...

after waking up early (5am) to be here by 8am we dropped off Mr.R at a small marina where he loaded hi 3 tanks and gear onto the "Proteus" which was flying it's skulled flag...it makes me chuckle when I see it. All these divers setting out to find treasures in the lake, and there really are treasure I'm sure as there are SO many wrecks.

so the girls and I headed to Downtown Kingston, first they threw a few coins in the Wishing fountain...why do these money fountains always capture kids hearts? after we found our favourite Breakfast hang out...Morrison's Restaurant...you can eat breakfast here all day...YUM...

grease, carbs,fat and high cholestral...all in exchange for smiles and full bellies...

once in a while you have to satisfy those desires!!!

the girls still get tired of walking long distances...so I had stops planned out on our day trip as we had some walking to do.

This was our next step...the wonderful Tea House on Princess Street(little Miss A didn't believe the stree was called this until she saw the sign-post....Little Miss Ja thought we would see Princesses living and walking around...yup, just like in Disney!) where we sat and enjoyed passers by...

freshly baked cookies and ginger and peach Rooibis tea...our girls are water babies...so a glass of water makes them happy.

(Char-I ordered another Tea for you...can't believe the first didn't arrive! -SO sorry)

little Miss J could chat about what she sees ALL DAY LONG...

little Miss A on  the other hand is quiet and loves to read...here's a new comic she found at the Antique Market after breakfast.

before heading down to the Marina...we went to see Shrek 4 together...LOVED LOVED LOVED it...all through the movie Miss J would keep asking me and reasurring herself..."Mummy, are they just in costume? The are all just in dress up...right?"

pancakes, mable syrup, cookies,popcorn, chocolate, ice-cream and Mc Donalds...I wonder if this is THE reasom our girls LOVE Kingston?

hey...if we get THESE smiles from junk food??? why not!

I received a bunch of commissions today...but this week I must get that landscape sketch completed.Sorry it's taken a while B!

Thank YOU ALL for those very sweet compliments about my Owl, it was MUCH loved by the girl's dance instructor.

my breakfast randoms...

before breakfast I finished this watercolour for a little girl called Bree.

she looks like such a sweet creature.

breakfasts are spent chatting and talknig about what we'd like to do during the day...little Miss A always seems to have company whilst eating her breakfast.

I adore the light which pours in the windows in the morning...such perfect painting light!

today I am finishing these...

these having been lying around waiting their turn for a while...I think because they aren't commissions...the urgency isn't there to complete them.

so many people at our Mamas Show were asking if I had a frog and a prince...so here it is...almost completed.

There's no tell all Tuesday spot this week as you can see...

  I love Marmite on toast (LOVE LOVE LOVE)

  I work better under-pressure (which can be frustrating at times)

  I can't go to sleep at night without going to check on our girls(and I have to kiss their cheeks and tell them I love them)

  if I won the lottery(as I would need A LOT of money), I would set up a Community Art Centre- painting,crafts,theatre...they're all so theraputic and I believe everybody should dabble in something creative!

  I used approximately 5% of my shoe collection...but love all of them and find it hard to give them up...soon they'll be Antiques!
• 
  
  I miss speaking Spanish and Italian...so if anyone wishes to meet up and is Italian or Spanish...and you live in the GTA...I NEED practice!

  If I could choose the whole day to be made up of mornings...it would.(I'd scrap afternoons and evenings-as I get so much more done in the mornings)

  if I wasn't an artist...I would be a Chef

  I'm a bit of a loner...and love "my" time...if I didn't see anyone for a few days...it wouldn't bother me(is this wierd?)
