Hello, I know I haven't been very great at blogging recently... Not sure what's changed other than me becoming extremely busy with projects...
I hope you are well...

ALL MIXED UP- collaborative portraits
Yesterday was a FUN Camp Day...we finished all our projects for the Day and then moved onto our Collaborative Draw time... I love working with the kids on this as they get to use their imagination and bounce ideas around with others in the class.
Before we drew anything I asked them (and I participated too) to section off their paper into 6 sections...and number them.
Then in section one and 2 draw the outline of a head...and in section one draw eyes...
When everyone had finished we switched places...and drew a nose on section one...eyes on 2 and a new head on 3....and so on and so on...until all of the sketches were complete...
Once complete they were allowed to colour them...no one wanted to other than Miss A and me...so we sat and detailed these MIXED UP collaborative portraits!SO much fun, and I am really happy about the results...oh, mine are the top 3 and Miss A's is the one under that, I think photo#4.
Today is my last Summer Camp day until next year...
WOW...time has flown by this Summer...but it has been wonderful. Thanks to my wonderful husband for getting the studio finished on time!
Have a great weekend all of you...
We have a long weekend here in Canada...

Frantic Friday...with a little surprise GIVEAWAY:-)
WHY do I always leave things to the last minute? Do you?
I have ridiculous amounts of tasks which need to be completed by next week...and I probably could have had them finished and out of the way...but no, I leave them to the last minute.
I am so pleased that I have all my PINS ready...it's been really very theraputic...sitting in the evening painting teeny faces...and cats, owls and birds...
I'm excited about how they will be received. Then SUPER happy I'll have new product to add to my ETSY store which has become a little stale this year. I know this is NOT the way to keep business and sales ticking over...so I will try harder to update and make my store a little fresher.
55 PINS in total...each one unique and hand painted with love and care...
I love organising this Show...and love meeting all our vendors...they're a fantastic group of women. If ONLY all of you guys could come shopping at our Show!!! Then I'd get to meet you too!!!
I would love to host an Etsy Show here in Toronto...kind of like the Renegade...I know there are a tonne of craft Shows here...but one JUST for ETSY Artisans...hmmm,brain ticking.
I am going to get on with my FRANTIC Friday...
BUT 1st::
Tell me which PIN is YOUR FAVE (click on the above image to view larger) and I will pick a winner on Monday morning. (you must be a fabulous reader to qualify-sorry...I'm very loyal to our readers!)
Have a FABULOUS weekend all of you.

PORTRAITS FINISHED: Sarah Brightman and the Canadian 4 Tenors
HELLO...yup, this is what I have been up to for the past couple of days...painting portraits of the Canadian 4 Tenors and Sarah Brightman.
They will all be in town on Friday playing at our local Hospital's Gala evening to raise money for their Cancer Unit.
I offered to donate portraits of them all as a "Thank you for playing".
Unfortunately I won't be seeing them to give these gifts to them...but am sure they will be in good hands.
It's strange to have a limit of size to paint on (14x18), for me this is so small....I love painting on larger canvases...especially when trying to squeeze 4 men onto one canvas...and also limited by the photo which I had to copy for Sarah Brightman's portrait...anyway...they are done and I have hopefully given you all an idea of the process in which they were painted.
Now to breathe...
And to enjoy the quiet house whilst both our girls are in school...what to do?
OH...trust me, I have a list which is longer than my arm!
But now...to breathe...perhaps take a walk...enjoy the Autumn colours...
Have a good day...
Until tomorrow.

Monday's memories...
Snap-shots from our weekend trip to the girls FIRST Blue Jays game...we took the GO Train to get into Toronto.
I know their favourite part was the train ride...Baseball can be a slow game...BUT...maybe in a couple of years they`ll appreciate the sport a little more.
The Jays won...which made the game better for everyone!
How was your weekend?
This week is going to be an extremely busy one...tomorrow I am interviewing Yael Frankel...many of you have probably already come across the work of Yael...
I have to have the portraits finished of Sarah Brightman and the Canadian 4 Tenors by this Thursday.
Also a tonne of Marketing material has to be sent out for Mamas and Chicks.
So...this is a short but sweet post, as I only have an hour to get more work done.
HUGS and thanks for passing by and leaving your always valued comments! It means a lot... *SMILE*

doodle faces
whilst our girls painted to their little hearts content...I got to doodle some faces.
I really love poster-paint with biro(ball-point pens).
I should work with it more often.
Hope you've been enjoying your weekend.
