scrumptious soaps...

 Good Friday everyone...can you believe we're almost into August? I am having a difficult time realizing that I just taught 4 weeks of ART Camp...and survived it ...lol...

Everyone keeps asking...will you do it again next year? YES...definitely...the progress of the kids from the start of the week to the end is remarkable!

I have thoroughly enjoyed teaching them new techniques and trying to train their eyes to see a little differently...whether they apply their skills to everyday life...or in their Art Classes at school...that's a different matter and entirely up to them...BUT...I have enjoyed it, and I know they have too.

So...the 4th week is on it's last day...and I will be back for 3 more weeks after a 2 week vacation from Camp. I'm certain our girls will enjoy the break...although they'll miss the company of others everyday.

Can you smell what's in the package? It arrived 2 days ago...and smells SO good...come and see...

 Mmmm, delicious handmade soaps by Tara Patey who owns the new line "On a Branch Soaps"...they are raw,scrumptious,packaged so beautifully and yes...that was the custom stamp I made for her back in MARCH...you can see the beginning of the process HERE...and HERE.

 The sizes of the soaps are wonderful and feel so natural....I love how the ingredients are printed on the back of each label!

 I can't wait to try the Lavender Oatmeal Soap...doesn't it sound perfect! I'm going to think about Christmas gifts and birthdays for the rest of the year too...

Meet my Campers!

Meet my Campers from my ART Camp I am hosting...they range from 5 to 7 this week...a really young group.

I think the heat got to them today as they were all tired by 2pm...

So...I asked if I could sketch them as today was "All About Me" day again...portraits,hand studies,chalk bodies,study of the eye...and much more...they stood for 2 minutes MAX...so here are my minute-2 minute portrait sketches of them in felt tip pens(markers).

HUGS to you all...I am going to try and visit you ALL this evening...if I don't fall asleep on the sofa!

in my post-box...

for my birthday I went a hunting for a special little something (to spend some birthday money I received from family)...and I love supporting friends who create...especially someone like Andrea who "creates" such little treasure which are practical too.
recently...she started sewing these beautiful Tea purses...I am a Tea lover and so this was perfect.
The fabric is beautiful and it fits wonderfully in my purse...I put all those little goodies in it like lip-gloss,safety pins...band-aids etc...

Come and see...

We've been busy again this week...but I thought I would stop in and show you some photos of our weeks.
The kids have been amazing...and have been loving our Nature trails and scavenger hunts along with our trips upto the girls school where we work on morning projects in the shade.

Apologies for not having had time to visit your Worlds...I look forward to very soon...tomorrow should be a slower day.Then back onto week 3 of ART Camp on Monday.

Hola everyone...thanks for stopping by today...I know I haven't been around much recently...Art Camp has been keeping me SUPER busy!
I promise to try and post some stories of our Art Camp weeks very soon...I've been surrounded by singers,jokers and great budding artists.
Tomorrow is "ALL ABOUT me Day!

In the mean time...here's a my NIGHT portrait...only because I can only work during the night...so not to run into Camp hours.

Art Camp with Char...

Art Camp is on its way...the kids are loving crafting and drawing all day...this morning we're off on a Scavenger hunt!
