being flexible
hello dear readers...
I am working on an exterior Mural this coming week...just presented the sketches and received the ALL STEAM AHEAD!
I feel like I'm Spring cleaning in the Autumn at the moment...finding I have been quite disorganised over the past couple of months...
Hope you're enjoying your weekend.

sketchy and painterly portraits...
I know...it's Wednesday...and I could have posted these in my regular "Wordless Wednesday" BUT...I needed to explain...
The first Portrait started off as a sketch, a 25 minute sketch followed by an hour painting (if that!)...and then our Miss J wanted hers done...but she kept moving...so Miss J turned out to be 12 years older than she actually is. I didn't really get to finish it...but oh well...
I am working on another commission this week...I'll try to remember to take photos of it's progress.
The Laundry is waiting for me...gotta go.

finished construction sketch.
We dry-walled the ceiling of my Art-Studio today...I am in SO much pain...my shoulders are screaming!
Today is a day...I wish my Dad was here to help my husband...and I wish my Mum was here to cook me dinner...sometimes the Atlantic Ocean is just WAY too big!
Here's the finished sketch of the Mural...I hope they love it.
Thanks for all the kind words about the sketches.
I'd hug you all but I'm not sure I can...ouch.

trucks,diggers,tractors...
HEY...it's Friday!I know...I said I would be back every day this week...but I have been enjoying walking...and have had my head FULL of construction...my wonderful Mr.R is doing a fabulous job on my studio...and I have been pricing out cabinets...they're not cheap you know!!! BUT I hope Art Camp will be able to pay for them...if not all...but the majority.
Talking about ART CAMP...I am almost full...just a couple of weeks which have openings.
I'm SO excited...it's like a turning point for me in my Career, AND I get a studio out of it!
I met with a lovely lady on Tuesday and she really would like a CONSTRUCTION Zone Mural for her eldest son...pretty cool...and I am totally out of my comfort zone when it comes to diggers, tractors and earth movers...so it's a great challenge.
Doesn't everyone LOVE a challenge!!!
I am hoping to paint it at the beginning of June.
I'll show you the finished wall proposal over the weekend.
Canada has a LOVELY long weekend starting tomorrow...dry wall and mud...tape and sanding will be what's happening in the basement this weekend.
What are you up to? (nosey aren't I :-)
Hugs to you all and thanks for passing by, and leaving such energized comments about our Lego Flags...they were fun to do, and made the girls really think about building things differently.
Until I post again.

today...
...is my nephew's birthday...he's SUCH a gorgeous little boy,turning 2 today!!!Happy Birthday little Mr.M!
The drawings above are for a series of canvases which I'm painting for a friend's Natural Health Centre in Toronto called Pure Health...she hosts Artists work on her walls...
We're all feeling a little under the weather here...probably not enough fresh air...(I can hear you Mum!!!) So today will be a quiet day, painting, drawing, lego building with the girls. Miss A sounds like a Seal with her cough...and she can't stomach much these past couple of days...
WHEN will Spring arrive here?

HAPPY November
HAPPY November...it really has been a wonderful month...thankful that we're all feeling better and that so many friends and people I hardly know are commissioning paintings and drawings for their loved ones at Christmas this year. It really does mean SO much to me...thank you if you have and are reading this.
This picture below is of a lovely lady who has been supporting me by purchasing prints from my Etsy Store since I started my shop...thanks Kim!
I will be having a "BUY 2 PRINTS get the 3rd FREE" event starting this Saturday which will run for 10 days...not to worry...you guys will be the 1st to know...and my BlueshineART Fans too...so get on facebook and "LIKE" blueshineART...
On another note...we went to the Royal Winter Fair which is hosted in Toronto every year...I wish I had taken more pics but the lighting wasn't great...here are a few of my faves.
LOOK at this bird...bazaar...there were yellow and pink ones too!
The horses stole the Show with our girls...they could watch them for hours...here they were getting tacked up ready for the big Horse Show - next year we'll treat the girls to the Show...
Well...back to school to pick up little Miss A...she had a wonderful report card which she brought home to us...SO proud of her...Miss J is doing so well too...they don't get report cards until the end of the school year because they're only in JK...but her teacher is very happy with her progress. It makes me tear up when I hear the teacher's talking about our girls...
November has been a wonderful Month...and thank you for all your supportive and kinds comments.

before and after...
hey everyone...this weekend is all about transformation into characters for adults and little ones...
I did this sketch the other day when I went to a playcentre with Jordan...she was happily crafting and sitting in one spot for about 20 minutes...so I quickly sketched her with some wax crayons...on coloured craft paper...sometimes even materials which are cheap and cheery work well....it was fun, I haven't played around with wax crayons for a while.
it's amazing how hair can change a person's look...she has been asking for weeks for braids...so we've been practicing and I think I have finally mastered the technique...after 6 years!!!
here's a close up, she looks cute with her BIG eyes and slick hair style.
Funny, I asked our eldest Miss A if she'd like them..."no thanks!" was her response...
Our girls want to be Bat-girl and a Bride again....remember this pic from last year?
Makes mummy happy because I don't have to go out and spend lots of $$$ on costumes.
What are you transforming into this weekend? And your kids?
Have a safe and FUN weekend...
spooky spooky....

LOVE notes x2
It can be quite a tear jerking and an emotional experience saying goodbye to your little ones the first day back at school...not just for us Mums, but for the little siblings too.
As you can tell, little miss A was VERY excited(a little nervous) about going back to school.
Little miss J starts next week.
So...I'm back into drawing a little something for our girls to open in their Lunch/snack packs...now Little A can read, I can add more words and thoughts for her.
Today I drew her on an Elephant. I am still sitting here with over 200 pieces of paper filled with sketches from the last 2 years which I have to either make a book from digital picture entries or create a scrapbook for her to keep.
Next week it will be the start of 2x the sketches per day!
I think I will need some pre-planning to help alieviate the stress of forgetting the lunch notes on some mornings...
What special something do you send to school with your little ones?
Ok...back to cleaning...and laundry and sketching this afternoon.

Tuscany...oh Tuscany...
Have you ever been to Tuscany? Have you ever tasted the food from the Tuscan earth?
Have you ever driven over one hill and seen another painting just waiting for you through your windshield (windscreen)?
Smelt the grasses and lavender...seen the old farmhouses surrounded by Olive groves?
Spent the night at an Agriturismo where they have served wild bore for dinner?
Been to villages built on hillsides filled with history and Art...
If you haven't...please try and make it there once in your Life...if you have, then you would know the reason why I would JUMP at the chance to paint a Tuscan Scene...
I will be presenting this final sketch to the client...if accepted it will be painted on three canvases.
HAVE A WONDERFUL MONDAY!!!

doodle faces
whilst our girls painted to their little hearts content...I got to doodle some faces.
I really love poster-paint with biro(ball-point pens).
I should work with it more often.
Hope you've been enjoying your weekend.
