I'm getting really excited about this book Shelly and I are working on together...

these sketches just finished minutes ago whilst listening to our girls babble and make believe in their imaginary World...
I can't really say too much about our work together ... but it will definitely be an eye opener and a thought provoker.

PORTRAITS in Pastel

hello everyone...so lovely of you to pass by...I was going to show you pics of this weekend...BUT...I just finished these two portraits so you get to see these FIRST before the owner of them!
I haven't worked in pastels ...um,since 1997...I have had these GORGEOUS patels since my 18th birthday...they have travelled to Spain and back to the Uk...then over here to Canada with me...they are treasures to me...they connect me to create what I love to do.

it's been a long time coming...(sorry Jen-I'll get this sent off to you as soon as)

Hope you've all had a great day so far...I feel like I'm a little behind, but am accomplishing a few things today. I have yet to pull out another pair of shoes for my "ART for HAITI" project...but I will get it done amongst all the other promises made today.(many of them I have promised myself!)
Hey...I still have 8 more hours until midnight...LOADSA time!!!

Do you think 5 1/2 hours sleep at night is sufficient?

Hang on there BOYS...

So...I know I should be cleaning the house, but wanted to post quickly before guests come later...
2 of our good neighbours had their Birthdays last month...so this is an over-due get together.
We're having an easy "takeout Thai" followed by homemade deserts...
I'll post what I'm making later...I can make it ahead of time, so you'll get to see the finished cake before our guests do.
I'll give you a little hint...ginger.
Above is a drawing I made for one of the ladies...she just had her 3rd Boy...so has her hands full...and she's originally from Trinidad, so has the sweetest accent, which her sons have acquired...love it.(hence the sea scene decorating her large skirt)
I'll show you the other drawing later.(and the cake).

Once Upon a Time...Elephant & Rhinoceros

I am starting the Pond Mural today. I'll post my progress along the way this week...AND please don't forget to come back tomorrow for our Tell All Tuesdays...we have an amazingly talented lady being featured...can't miss this one!

Oh...we came 9th in our City Chase Race this past Saturday.There were 460 teams...SO pleased we made top ten!

Once Upon a Time Rhino...

I'm thinking if I make some more "Boy" illustrations, I'll get better sales at the Show...so this week I'm concentrating on animals which are loved by little boys...I'm excited about all the earthy colours.

Once Upon a Horse

Once Upon a Time "Horse" is dedicated to my little nephew "Morton" who was born this morning in England.
